A look back at CyberIsle 2022
A few months have passed since 2022's CYBERISLE cyber-security conference and we would like to extend our thanks and gratitude to all those who took part and attended. None of this could have been possible without our platinum sponsor - Riela Cyber - and our gold sponsors - KPMG, Deloitte and, PwC Isle of Man - as well as all the other organisations that presented and attended at the trade-stands.
We would also like to thank the volunteers from University College Isle of Man (UCM) who assisted in making sure our attendees were all checked in.
So, what did this year's CYBERISLE event have to offer?
The day was packed full of world-class speakers presenting on a wide range of cyber-security and information assurance topics, with sponsored Coffee breaks from Suntera Global and lunch provided by OCSIA.
This year’s was a cumulation of the previous themes of 'Aware' 'Secure' and, ‘Resilience’ and explored the many practises and considerations involved with ensuring businesses of any size have the skills, knowledge and processes in place to better protect their organisation against an ever-evolving cyber-threat landscape.
The day opened with a threat update from Elanor Fairford from the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) who discussed some of the global trends the NCSC are experiencing. This was followed up later in the day by a presentation from Riela Cyber's Kurt Schrauwen on 'Hacking Humans'.
Based on feedback from previous years, this years CyberIsle featured an increase in the number of panel sessions. With Ransomware, Cyber-skills, 3rd party providers and Cyber Insurance all being covered.
The feedback we have received so far has been extremely positive and we hope those who could make it to the event left having learnt something new.
We hope to see you all at the next CYBERISLE conference,
The OCSIA Team
